The Maxi Velingrad is surrounded by natural resources from which it derives its unique supply of two specialty waters, one for drinking and one for balneological treatments. The hotel is situated in the highest part of Velingrad, near the beginning of the first eco-path in Bulgaria. Established in 1948, this path winds through the steep slopes of the Rhodopes Mountains and down into its lowest valleys amidst forest trails of pine, oak and birch.
