The Grand Royale London Hyde Park, located at 1 Inverness Terrace, Bayswater, was built at the turn of the century. Apparently, Edward VII commissioned the renowned French Architect Charles Mews, who had just completed the construction of the London Ritz, with the task of designing this magnificent edifice as a private residence, and love nest, for his mistress Lilly Langtry.
